Mould & Moisture Inspection
A mould and moisture inspection is a crucial process designed to assess the presence of excess moisture and mould growth in homes, offices, or buildings. Moisture is a primary contributor to mould development, which can lead to various health risks such as respiratory issues, allergies, and even more severe complications in vulnerable individuals.
The inspection typically focuses on areas prone to water intrusion, poor ventilation or past water damage, however a full property inspection is recommended to get a more in depth idea of the condition of the property and ascertain current and potential future issues.

The first step of the inspection is attempting to locate all visible mould affected areas or the areas provided by the client if they only wish for certain areas to be inspected, once the symptom (mould) has been located, the cause (moisture) will then be identified.
Moisture can be caused by leaks, condensation, flooding, or inadequate ventilation. Our team uses specialized equipment, such as moisture meters, hygrometers, infrared cameras and snake/endoscopy cameras to detect high humidity levels and damp spots that may not be visible to the naked eye.

As mould and moisture tend to go hand in hand, inspecting and noting both simultaneously tends to be the most effective process, taking photos and labelling locations to be referenced in a later report.

During this phase, we’ll also look for signs of water damage, staining and mould on walls, floors, ceilings, furniture and personal items which can indicate past or ongoing issues.

The final phase involves providing a report with findings and preliminary recommendations. This might include fixing leaks, roof repairs, waterproofing, etc. Addressing these issues early is essential to prevent further damage and protect occupants, a quote to perform mould removal and restoration will also be supplied.
